Get involved

Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Climate Commission are working to bring together people and organisations to help drive, guide and support climate action in the South West. There are different ways you can get involved, from signing up to our mailing list, to joining a working group or becoming a commissioner.

We recognise the value that citizens, local organisations, businesses, community groups, educational institutions and representative bodies can contribute to Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Climate Commission. Your support can ensure bigger steps are taken to drive the change we want to see. Get involved today!

Become a commissioner

If you’re interested in connecting the dots to respond to Cornwall’s climate emergency, or have unique perspectives and skills to share, then you could be a Commissioner! There are no specific requirements, we encourage a diversity of applications. Take a look at the last Call for Commissioners to read more about what we are looking for.

There are currently no spaces for new Commissioners at the moment, but we will share details once applications are open again.

Working Groups allow the Commission to focus on different areas and projects, connecting up local issues and national policies. They are a mix of short-term groups delivering specific projects and long-term groups with broad remits and rolling memberships. We also support partnership groups which can be jointly held with other organisations or network.

Many Working Groups can include non-Commissioners, and we invite people to express their interest in joining if they would like to contribute their skills and experience.
